The blogging world is very interesting. I think it has brought some exciting new players to the online recruiting industry. My hat is off to bloggers like Bob Wilson, Cheezhead, Jim Stroud and all others who take the time to do proper research, dig in, ask questions and fully understand something before responding to reporters, publishing an in-depth analysis, or giving their opinions. Welcome to the blogosphere, Bill! I had some interaction with DirectEmployers at my previous company, Getronics, and had the pleasure of a couple of calls with Ray Schreyer. I am enjoying sourcing even more now at Microsoft along with my recruiting research colleagues Shally Steckerl and Jim Stroud, which is also what led me to start blogging exactly a year ago. I think it’s important for people to shake things up by questioning existing patterns and inspire learning with new ways of doing things, which is what you’ve also done in a very visible way.
